Never drive through flooded roads

Heavy rain floods underpasses and low streets quickly. Just a foot of moving water can float a car — turn around and find another route.

Heat

Summers are hot and humid. Use a windshield sunshade and never leave children or pets in a parked car.

Frontage roads

Texas freeways have parallel frontage (feeder) roads. Missing an exit usually means a U-turn at the next intersection.
