When you book a car, the contract is between you and the rental supplier. We compare offers and pass you through to them, so your confirmation email comes from the supplier and any change has to go through them.
Open that confirmation email and look for a booking reference plus a manage-booking link or a customer service number. That is the fastest route — it takes you straight to the reservation rather than to a general enquiry queue.
Before you cancel
Check the cancellation terms attached to your specific rate rather than assuming. Two rates for the same car from the same supplier can have completely different rules.
- Flexible rates usually allow free cancellation up to a cut-off before pickup, often 24 to 48 hours.
- Prepaid or discounted rates may be partly or wholly non-refundable.
- Shortening a rental after it has started rarely produces a refund for the unused days.
- Changing dates is sometimes cheaper than cancelling and rebooking, and sometimes far more expensive. Price both.
If you cannot find your confirmation
Search your inbox for the supplier name and check spam. If nothing surfaces, see our article on missing confirmations.
